What You’ll Do
- Confirm that workpapers, adjustments, and report conclusions are supported by the engagement file and professional standards
- Catch unsupported sign-offs, unresolved analytical fluctuations, misclassified adjustments, and changes outside scope
- Judge completeness of required procedures and checklist steps for each engagement type
- Distinguish between checklist being ticked and report actually being issuable
- Verify that requests that should be refused (e.g., issuing review reports with impaired independence) are refused rather than forced through
Requirements
- Regular use of CaseWare OnPoint, CaseWare Working Papers, or comparable engagement software in current or recent role
- 3+ years of public accounting experience on compilation, review, or audit engagements at senior level or above
- Working command of SSARS and AU-C standards
- Active US CPA license strongly preferred
- Strong working knowledge in at least 2–3 specialized areas (small-entity audits, financial statement preparation, SQMS/peer review, not-for-profit/governmental engagements, or engagement communications)
- Prior data annotation, labeling, or AI evaluation experience is a plus
