Terms of Service

Last updated: August 21, 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or using any part of MyRemoteJobs ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. What the Service is

MyRemoteJobs is a remote job board and a set of AI-powered career tools: CV Builder, Upload & Remodel, TailorFit, LinkedIn Generator, Mock Interview, ATS Checker, AI Job Match, and Cover Letter Generator. Browsing the job board and previewing every tool and template is free and doesn't require an account. Building and downloading a real document, or running a tool's actual AI-generation step, needs a signed-in account and, for most tools, an active subscription (see section 4).

3. Accounts

You can sign up with an email and password, or with Google sign-in. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for anything that happens under your account. Provide accurate information when you sign up -- we use your email to send you things like document downloads and account notices.

You must be old enough, under the laws that apply to you, to enter into a binding contract to use a paid service. If you're not, please don't create an account.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Two monthly plans: Standard ($5/month) covers CV Builder, LinkedIn Generator, and Mock Interview, plus 10 of the 24 CV templates. Pro ($9/month) covers everything in Standard plus TailorFit, AI Job Match, ATS Checker, Cover Letter Generator, and every remaining template.

Subscriptions are billed monthly and renew automatically until you cancel. Payments are processed by Paystack -- by subscribing, you're also agreeing to use Paystack's payment rails, subject to their own terms.

You can cancel anytime from your account page; cancelling stops future billing but doesn't automatically refund the current billing period. If something's gone wrong with a specific charge, contact us and we'll sort it out directly rather than making you fight a dispute process.

We may change subscription pricing going forward. If we do, it won't change what you're already being charged mid-cycle -- any new price applies from your next renewal, and we'll make a reasonable effort to let existing subscribers know beforehand.

5. AI-generated content -- what we do and don't promise

Our AI tools are built to work only from what you actually provide -- your real resume content, your real answers, the real job description you paste in -- and are designed not to invent experience, credentials, or facts you didn't give them. That's a design goal we take seriously, not a guarantee that every output will be perfect every time.

You're responsible for reviewing anything a tool generates -- a cover letter, a tailored resume, interview feedback, an ATS score -- before you rely on it, submit it to an employer, or act on it. We don't guarantee that using MyRemoteJobs will get you an interview, a job offer, a passing ATS score with any specific employer's system, or any other particular outcome. Job outcomes depend on far more than a resume or cover letter, and we can't control or promise those results.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use the Service to submit false or fraudulent information about yourself or someone else, impersonate another person, scrape or bulk-harvest the job board or our tools, attempt to bypass subscription gating, interfere with the Service's normal operation, or use it for anything illegal.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, with or without notice, depending on severity.

7. Your content, our software

You own whatever you upload or create through MyRemoteJobs -- your resume content, your generated documents, everything that's substantively yours. You grant us only the limited right to process that content in order to actually run the tool you asked for (see our Privacy Policy for exactly how and where that processing happens).

The software, templates, designs, and MyRemoteJobs branding are ours (or licensed to us), and using the Service doesn't transfer any ownership of those to you. You're free to use the documents you generate however you like -- send them to employers, print them, edit them elsewhere -- just not to resell or redistribute our templates or software themselves.

8. The job board and third-party links

Job listings link out to third-party employer sites or application pages we don't control and aren't responsible for. We do our best to keep listings accurate and current, but we can't guarantee a given role is still open, or vouch for any employer's own hiring process.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly accurate at all times.

To the maximum extent the law allows, MyRemoteJobs isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service -- including lost job opportunities, lost income, or similar outcomes tied to career decisions you made using our tools. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose.

10. Termination

You can stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account for violating these terms, non-payment, or if we reasonably believe your account poses a risk to the Service or other users.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, since that's where MyRemoteJobs is operated from.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. For significant changes, we'll make a reasonable effort to notify account holders directly; continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
