Overview
Mercor partners with AI labs to train health AI models. In this role, you will evaluate AI responses to radiology questions against de-identified patient charts, assessing clinical accuracy, safety, and alignment with current standards of care.
What You’ll Do
- Evaluate AI answers to radiology questions for clinical accuracy, safety and alignment with current standards of care
- Check each answer against the patient chart and decide which of two responses is stronger
- Write structured rationales on clinical rigor, completeness and clarity
- Flag errors that could compromise patient safety
Requirements
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board certified in ABR Diagnostic Radiology through an ABMS member board or the AOA
- Active, unrestricted US medical license
- Residency complete, plus fellowship where your specialty requires one
- Currently practicing and seeing patients in the US, with at least 1 year of independent practice after training
- 3+ years of post-training experience strongly preferred
- Clear written communication and close attention to detail
Who Should Apply
This suits board-certified radiologists with current practice experience who want to supplement income or transition toward less clinical work while staying engaged with radiology. It appeals to those methodical about written detail and confident in their clinical judgment. It will frustrate radiologists who need stable, predictable income or full-time engagement—this is project-based, hour-constrained contract work with no guaranteed flow.
Salary Insight
$350/hour is substantial for contract medical work and reflects the specialized nature of AI model evaluation—this is 2–3 times typical telemedicine rates. The hourly structure with flexible, part-time work is unusual for radiology and suits those seeking supplemental income or a less demanding schedule than traditional practice. However, no minimum hours are guaranteed, so actual earnings will vary with project availability.
