Overview

Mercor partners with AI labs to train frontier models using human expertise. This contract role involves reviewing business documents and structured records to identify, classify, and anonymize personally identifiable information (PII) across CRM exports, emails, tickets, and other data sources. Your decisions feed into an ongoing PII anonymization program where reviewers validate your work before release.

What You’ll Do

Confirm, reject, add and correctly type PII across tasks containing dozens to hundreds of individual decisions
Group related entities (people, organizations, contact details) into clusters for consistent handling
Identify personal information missed by automated detection and avoid false positives
Apply and stay current with guidelines updated multiple times per week
Act on reviewer feedback quickly and apply corrections across related tasks
Work asynchronously with distributed team and escalate ambiguous cases to project channel

Requirements

Ability to commit 30+ hours per week as your main project
Prior experience with AI data work (labeling, rating AI responses, QA/review of AI outputs)
Sharp eye for detail across long, repetitive material with strong self-checking discipline
Track record in detail-heavy work such as operations, accounting, editing, design, compliance or account management
Comfort with frequently changing rules and habit of checking current guidelines
Takes feedback well and adjusts quickly
Ability to work entirely without AI assistance on task data
Excellent written English
Reliable internet and quiet focused workspace
US-based preferred
