- Verbal communication
Who Should Apply
This role suits native Polish speakers with strong attention to detail, a good ear for linguistic nuance, and the ability to articulate why something sounds "off" or authentic in writing. It's genuinely valuable work for someone who enjoys language analysis and doesn't need traditional employment infrastructure (benefits, predictable hours). It will frustrate people who find repetitive listening draining, who struggle to explain subjective linguistic judgments, or who need clear career progression; it's piecework with no seniority path.
Salary Insight
The $30–$65/hr range is wide, reflecting variation by experience (background in linguistics, phonetics, or audio engineering likely places you higher) and possibly by task complexity or project phase. No figures for Polish linguistics work are published widely, so research what other AI training platforms pay for similar language annotation roles—this is a floor you can negotiate from, especially if you have documented expertise in audio assessment or phonetics.

Application Tip
Emphasize any concrete experience analyzing audio, speech, or language—linguistics coursework, teaching pronunciation, music/audio work, or even transcription. Generic "native speaker" claims are a dime a dozen; what distinguishes you is the ability to *explain* linguistic judgments in English clearly and consistently. In a cover note, show that you understand the project goal (training AI, not just rating accents) and give one example of a subtle linguistic distinction you can articulate—it signals you'll produce the detailed justifications they're asking for.
