Overview
Turing is a research accelerator for frontier AI labs that works with enterprises to deploy advanced AI systems. This role invites healthcare experts to evaluate and refine AI models by reviewing AI-generated responses to medical scenarios and providing structured feedback on clinical accuracy and safety.
What You’ll Do
- Review and evaluate AI-generated responses to medical and healthcare scenarios
- Apply structured rubric to assess clinical accuracy, reasoning, completeness, and patient-safety considerations
- Identify gaps, edge cases, unsafe recommendations, and blind spots in medical reasoning
- Provide detailed annotations and written feedback to refine AI models
- Collaborate with researchers and project managers to align evaluation standards and project goals
Requirements
- Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Medical Doctor (MD) qualification and active licensure
- 3+ years of clinical experience
- Strong clinical reasoning and understanding of healthcare workflows
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail
- Medical administration or healthcare operations experience preferred
- Prior experience in AI annotation is a plus
Who Should Apply
This suits licensed clinicians (NP or MD) who want flexible, episodic work and are genuinely interested in how AI systems reason about healthcare — it's intellectually engaging but requires the discipline to follow detailed rubrics rather than clinical intuition. It will frustrate anyone seeking steady income, full-time engagement, or work that directly impacts patient care; this is structured evaluation, not clinical practice.
Salary Insight
The posting states up to $100/hr with pay dependent on internal evaluation and location. This is a contractor rate for episodic work (40 hours over 4 weeks), so total project value is up to $4,000. Benchmark against similar AI training/annotation work and your local cost of living; rates in this space vary significantly by geography and credentials.

Application Tip
Lead with a specific clinical scenario or healthcare domain where you've excelled — this signals the depth of reasoning they need to evaluate AI responses. Mention any prior experience evaluating or teaching clinical reasoning (even supervising residents or trainees), as that transferable skill is often stronger than annotation experience alone. Note your comfort with structured, documented feedback; this role is as much about clear written communication as clinical knowledge.
