Overview
Turing is an AI research accelerator that partners with enterprises on advanced AI systems. In this role, you'll evaluate the quality of personalized AI interactions by assessing how well Gemini retrieves and uses data from connected Google apps like Gmail, Calendar, and Drive.
What You’ll Do
- Evaluate AI-generated responses based on professional email history and business account activity
- Assess whether responses are relevant, accurate, helpful, and appropriately personalized
- Identify issues related to incorrect personalization, unsupported assumptions, or irrelevant recommendations
- Compare multiple AI responses and determine which provides better user experience
- Provide clear, detailed, and well-reasoned evaluation feedback
- Follow project guidelines to ensure consistent, accurate evaluations
- Maintain data privacy and adhere to confidentiality requirements
Requirements
- Must be currently based in the United States
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- Willing and able to connect personal Google apps to Gemini
- Active use of standard Google workspace/consumer apps with sufficient personal data/history
- Exceptional analytical thinking skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Desktop or laptop with reliable internet connection
- Minimum 4 hours per day availability with 4 hours overlap with PST
Who Should Apply
This role suits detail-oriented people comfortable with structured evaluation work and connecting personal accounts to third-party systems. You'll thrive if you can articulate nuanced judgments about AI output and work independently for sustained periods. It won't suit you if you prefer ambiguity, dislike writing detailed feedback, or are uncomfortable granting app access to your personal data.
Salary Insight
No salary is stated. For contract evaluation work of this type, research Turing's public contractor rates if available, and during the Job Interest Form stage, ask directly about hourly rate or total project compensation before committing your time—this matters significantly given the 4+ hour daily commitment over 16 weeks.

Application Tip
This hiring process focuses on demonstrated judgment and communication: during evaluation, they will likely assess how clearly you explain your reasoning about AI responses. When you reach the Job Interest Form, be specific about your availability overlap with PST and your familiarity with AI evaluation concepts—vague interest won't differentiate you. Lead with any prior experience in QA, annotation, or similar analytical review work, even if not AI-specific.
