The work involves writing prompts, evaluating AI responses, identifying errors, red-teaming systems, creating training data, and other tasks related to reinforcement learning from human feedback (RLHF) and model fine-tuning.

Projects span 12+ domains: coding, science, medicine, finance, law, linguistics, business, mathematics, creative writing, multimedia, and others. The company currently lists 700+ projects across 120+ countries.

The work

Specific tasks vary by project and may include writing and evaluating AI responses, ranking model outputs, identifying factual or reasoning errors, designing evaluation rubrics, validating content, calibrating judge models, and testing edge cases.

Each project is governed by a Statement of Work specifying the scope, expected duration, and pay rate—disclosed before you commit. All time spent on projects is paid and processed biweekly.

How the hiring process works

This is not a conventional employment pipeline. You create a detailed expert profile, listing your professional background, education, skills, languages, and specialist knowledge. Meridial then matches you to open projects based on your expertise and location eligibility.

When you find a matching project, you apply and may undergo project-specific verification: identity check, experience or education verification, skills assessment, tax information, or location confirmation. After verification, you review the Statement of Work and accept or decline the engagement.
