Overview
Mercor is hiring experienced Administrative Services Managers to evaluate and improve AI systems. You'll assess AI-generated administrative operations content and workflows, using your expertise in planning, directing, and coordinating organizational support services like facilities, records management, procurement, and office operations.
What You’ll Do
- Evaluate AI-generated office operations plans, facilities and vendor management documents, records-management procedures, and other administrative artifacts for quality and accuracy
- Compare AI-generated responses head-to-head based on operational soundness, policy compliance, and cost-effectiveness
- Review administrative scenarios involving budgeting, procurement, space planning, support-services staffing, and process improvement and provide expert feedback
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience as an Administrative Services Manager, Office Manager, Facilities Manager, Administrative Director, Business Operations Manager, or closely related administrative management role
- Experience planning, directing, or coordinating an organization's supportive services such as recordkeeping, mail distribution, facilities planning and maintenance, procurement, and office support services
- Ability to commit 20+ hours per week
- Strong written English communication skills
Who Should Apply
This suits someone with hands-on experience in administrative operations or facilities management who enjoys detailed evaluation work and has a knack for spotting operational gaps and cost problems. It will be frustrating if you need a long onboarding period, expect fixed scheduling, or work better with ongoing collaborative feedback—the contract is short-term, self-directed, and the first phase is approval-dependent.
Salary Insight
The range of $70–$110/hour is wide, reflecting that pay depends on first-task approval and the contract structure: initial work is task-based (paid upon approval), then converts to hourly. The upper end represents experienced practitioners; exact rate will depend on your background and performance on the trial task. For a 4-week project at 20 hours/week, the full range spans $5,600–$8,800.

Application Tip
Lead with a specific example of an operational or facilities challenge you resolved—a cost saving, a process redesign, vendor consolidation, or compliance fix—not just a list of your past titles. Mercor is evaluating AI systems for feasibility and risk; they want evidence that you think critically about implementation, constraints, and hidden costs. Mention any experience you have critiquing or refining processes or proposals, as that's closer to this role's actual work than day-to-day management.
