Overview
Clipster connects brands and creators who clip and remix branded content across TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram. In 2025 they grew from 0 to more than 100,000 creators, paid out over $5M, and became profitable — now hiring their first senior product engineer on a lean team of under 15.
What You’ll Do
- Own Golang backend services and distributed architecture as your primary domain.
- Contribute to the React/Next.js frontend whenever it's the fastest path to shipping value.
- Move from system design to production-ready code, with clean tests and documentation.
- Work with a small team handling roughly $1M in monthly creator payouts.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend experience, including 3+ years of Golang mastery.
- Comfortable navigating and contributing to a React/Next.js frontend.
- Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL and Redis, ideally with GCP experience.
- Bonus: experience with payment systems or event-driven, real-time architectures.
Who Should Apply
Backend-heavy engineers who still want full-stack range, and who want outsized ownership on a lean, already-profitable product rather than a large team with narrow scope.
Salary Insight
Compensation isn't published — with a team under 15 people and demonstrated revenue, it's reasonable to ask for a specific range early in the process rather than assuming a fixed band.

Application Tip
The process includes a pair-programming session and a system-design discussion based on Clipster's actual day-to-day problems — brushing up on distributed systems fundamentals will matter more than trivia.
