What You’ll Do
- Confirm posted entries, reconciliations, and close steps are correct in the ledger
- Catch entries posted to wrong period, account, subsidiary, or currency
- Judge completeness of accounting work—whether all related transactions were captured
- Distinguish between entries that post cleanly versus entries that break policy or cutoff rules
- Verify that closed periods, missing approvals, and invalid records are properly refused by the system
- Spot misposted entries, unreconciled variances, or cutoff errors
Requirements
- Frequent NetSuite use (weekly or more) for accounting work in current or recent role
- 3+ years of professional accounting experience including month-end close
- Ability to spot misposted entries, unreconciled variances, or cutoff errors on sight
- Strong working knowledge in at least 2–3 specialized areas: revenue recognition (ASC 606), procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, inventory and costing, fixed assets, multi-book/multi-currency accounting, or NetSuite administration
- Hands-on experience as a NetSuite user or administrator (SuiteScript development or implementation-only experience does not qualify)
- CPA (active or inactive) preferred; otherwise degree in accounting or finance or equivalent controller-level experience
- Prior data annotation, labeling, or AI evaluation experience is a plus
