Overview

Mercor is a platform that hires domain experts to evaluate and improve AI systems. In this role, you'll assess AI-generated property management content—including budgets, leases, maintenance plans, and governance documents—for quality, accuracy, and real-world feasibility based on your professional experience.

What You’ll Do

  • Evaluate AI-generated property operating budgets, lease analyses, maintenance plans, association governance documents, and other property management artifacts for quality and accuracy
  • Compare AI-generated responses head-to-head based on financial soundness, regulatory and lease compliance, and operational feasibility
  • Review scenarios involving tenant and owner relations, rent collection, vendor contracts, capital improvements, and association board matters and provide expert feedback

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a Property Manager, Real Estate Manager, Community Association Manager, HOA Manager, Leasing Manager, or closely related property or association management role
  • Experience planning, directing, or coordinating the leasing, operation, maintenance, or governance of residential, commercial, or industrial real estate properties or community associations
  • Ability to commit 20+ hours per week
  • Strong written English communication skills

Who Should Apply

This suits experienced property or community association managers who want flexible, remote work and enjoy evaluating and critiquing detailed technical content. You'll thrive if you're methodical about documentation, comfortable writing detailed feedback, and confident in your judgment. It will frustrate you if you need urgent, predictable income—payment is task-based initially, the project runs only 4–6 weeks, and you must clear your first task on deadline to unlock hourly pay.

Salary Insight

The $70–$110 per hour range is wide because it reflects a mix of experience levels within the 4+ year minimum. Early in the range does not mean junior—this is still contract specialist work. Note the payment structure: your first task is unpaid until approved, after which you move to hourly if you meet the timeline. Budget accordingly if you depend on immediate income.

Application Tip

Lead with a specific property management challenge you've personally solved—a lease dispute, a budget shortfall, a compliance issue—rather than listing your job titles. Mercor needs evaluators who think critically about real-world constraints and can explain *why* something would or wouldn't work in practice. Show in your cover note or opening paragraph that you understand the task: you're not managing properties, you're judging whether AI-generated guidance is sound. A one-sentence example ("I'd know immediately if a maintenance plan ignored seasonal tenant turnover") signals the kind of judgment they're after.
